Results of the 2015-16 Survey of Employee Satisfaction

The Survey was open Nov. 5 to Dec. 6. Three hundred and thirty-three employees responded to the survey, the vast majority of whom are teachers and coaches.

Major concerns identified in this survey continue to be workload, paperwork, planning time and the cost of insurance.

BFT continues to work with the district for improvement in these areas.

The Survey results were presented to the BISD Board of Trustees on Dec. 15.

The Bastrop Federation of Teachers conducts a Survey of Employee Satisfaction each year as a service to BISD and its employees. The purpose of the survey is to identify what is working well in the district as well as the areas that need improvement. This goal is line with BFT’s mission, which is to improve pay and working conditions for employees and achievement for students.

The first set of charts reflects the district-wide results of the survey. Following that are results by campus for selected campuses.

2012 BFT Survey of Employee Satisfaction

BFT conducted a Survey of Employee Satisfaction open to all BISD employees in Jan. 2012. While the results arrived later than expected, they are no less reflective of the opinions of many of the employees at BISD. It is our greatest hope that the information gleaned from this survey will be used to acknowledge those doing well and to focus positive change in those areas that need it.
